The Learning Place is the largest provider of STAR and Gateway funded courses in New Zealand. We deliver vocational Level 2 and 3 courses into over 400 secondary schools each year with our highly skilled and talented Kaiako.
Our courses range from essential or soft skills such as communication and leadership through to practical courses like barista, security and bar tending courses either on site at your school or at our venues in your town or city. In all we deliver a range of over twenty different courses both face to face and on line.

With iQualify for Schools you can use technology to help students succeed. Our easy to use learning management system makes teaching and learning easier, more personalised and social, and our digital resources take the hard work out of planning. iQualify for Schools gives you access to almost 200 learning resources – including NCEA achievement standards, core generic unit standards and careers courses for Years 9-13.

Launched in November 2018, MyMahi is quickly being adopted by schools and other organisations working with students and young people. MyMahi is a digital platform that allows specialist advisors such as careers staff to become leaders in the school by supporting other staff to mentor and coach students around pathway planning.

Sorted in Schools, Te whai hua – kia ora! is a free, government-funded financial educational programme for schools and kura. Our vision is to equip all young people for their financial future by embedding good money habits early on.

- will soon allow senior secondary students to gain credits towards NCEA certificate qualification.
More than 300 resources cover a range of topics and can be incorporated into everyday lessons, making it easy for teachers to use. And we go one step further. To set schools up for success, we also offer a free professional learning development programme to help teachers feel confident in teaching the subject. It consists of workshops, webinars and visits from our dedicated School Relationship Managers, who are passionate about supporting teachers to implement it in their schools.
